The virgin and child with St. Ann
Leonardo Da Vinci
By Mackenzie Jaquish
this is the picture of the Virgin Child with St. Anne, The Virgin And Child With St. Anne it was retouched, it was left unfinished. The virgin’s legs are draped with a blanket being much better then an out line. If you look beyond the faces in the photo and notice the icy landscaping you can tell that it was winter and that is why her legs are draped also because she is still a virgin and it was not right to show anything when your pure. This painting was done in oil.
this is the original sketch.
This was the original sketch. But it is just a redo of it the original was lost a long time ago. As you can see there is a rough drawing of another child. But if you look at the new one it is only 3 people. Why is that? Well Leonardo Da Vinci didn’t start this photo he found and bought it and turned it into his own so he probably thought that on child was enough. Leonardo Da Vinci never finished the painting he died right before.
